Introducing... Our new breed secretary!

BWMSBA is very pleased to announce the appointment of a new breed secretary!

Ms Brenda Wear has began her post since 1st May 2026, and has been working alongside the breed council to learn the ropes and become familiar with the association. Brenda is a pedigree beef and sheep farmer based in North Somerset, and is a well known and prominent figure in the pedigree breeding world having her own herd of pedigree Beef Shorthorns, Poll Dorsets and Ryelands, and also managing her father's renowned Ruslin flock of Ryelands.

Brenda works on a self-employed basis, alongside other role including NMR milk recording, assisting local farmers with administration and making hay annually for a local horse livery yard. Brenda's enjoyment is showing her pedigree stock in shows all over the country... so don't be surprised if you see her at a show somewhere!

Brenda is looking forward to meeting our members, and we look forward to working closely with her to drive the association forward.
