BWMSBA Celebration Show

The long awaited BWMSBA Celebration show finally took place on Saturday 13th August at the Fedw Equestrian Centre. The baking heat was slightly tempered by a cool breeze for which alll attending (and the sheep) were very grateful. 

The Open Section saw a very high quality entry and the judge, Will Workman picked a super shearling ewe from the Upper House flock of Chris Garn as Champion. The Section reserve was a smart, well grown tup lamb from the Llanover Estate.

The restricted section (for those that have not been place 1st -3rd at either the Royal Welsh or the Spring Festival) was really well supported by the members. Judge Edd Williams faced some very large classes but chose an Aged Ram from C Hall and K Kilvington as the section Champion, with the Reserve Spot going to Harriet Bown's shearling ewe. 

The Breeder's Section, judged in pens and designed to make the show accesible to as many members as possible, was judged by Glenda Hiughes. She chose the winner of the class for a ewe with her own lambs, from I & J Jones as the Section Champion, with a pair of ewe lambs from J & F Lister as reserve.
